Monofilament, spot lights

600 x 600 cm

Installation views: Nordic Institute for Contemporary Art, Helsinky
Photographs: Ivana Franke Studio

There are four light arrangements in the otherwise dark room, resembling shooting stars. The
length of their “tails” depends on the viewer’s position in relation to them. These everchanging
structures might also recall some flying living organisms, like medusas for example.

Monofilament creates a polygonal grid which stretches from wall to wall, in the form of the
ceiling. Four spot lights are installed above this weaved structure.
